Calligraphy Workshops Saturday 11.23.19

Join me for two workshops next Saturday!

I am only usually able to teach during 1st and 4th quarters so come out if you can!

Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Workshop
(learn pointed pen!) 11:00A-2:30P
This workshop will arm you with the tools you need to begin tackling the basic techniques of modern calligraphy using the pointed pen. How to hold the pen, practicing brushstrokes and finally constructing letters of a full alphabet will be covered. Highly recommended for those of you who are just starting calligraphy, as well as those who've never picked up a pen!

Workshop includes:
– 3 hours of instruction with Christy Toney
– 1 oblique pen holder
– 2 pointed pen nibs
– 1 jar of black ink
– Multiple drill / practice sheets
– 1 calligraphy alphabet exemplar (Upper/Lower case letters + numbers)
– Extra/bonus goodies!
– Refreshments

Holiday Hand Lettering (jazz up your envelopes, design ornaments and more!)
3:00P-6:30P

This workshop will arm you with BASIC hand lettering & pointed pen skills to be utilized on holiday themed materials:

- Envelopes
- Glass Ornament
- Kraft Paper / Bags
- Gift Tags

Workshop includes:

– 3 hours of instruction with Christy Toney
– 1 fine line brush pen
– 1 Uniball Signo white pen
– 1 extra fine line paint pen & 1 fine line paint pen
– 1 micron pen 5.0
– Access to a variety of my stash of paint, pointed pens, brushes, brush pens and fine liners
– 1 glass ornament to practice on/walk with
– holiday scrap pack: (multiple envelopes, kraft paper and scrap for gift wrap ideas)
– Worksheets featuring examples to refer to for font styles, the easy way to construct letters, layout ideas and holiday themed design elements to practice...
