Hello, my name is Christy Toney and I am a full-time Chicago wedding calligrapher. I am the founder of Calligraphy by CT (formerly CT-Designs - circa 2007), and have a decades long background in art, with a B.A. from Columbia College (Chicago). I've also received professional training from Chicago's Art Institute, The American Academy of Art and The Palette and Chisel. I specialize in mirror calligraphy/lettering having done my first seating chart back in 2013.
Background
My calligraphy training began quite early at Lindblom Technical high school on Chicago’s south side. I also spent 15 years as a print production manager, so my entire career can be characterized in some form as "ink on paper".
I teach Modern Calligraphy workshops and conduct one on one teaching sessions as well.
