Wedding Mirror Seating Chart Ideas

Mirror seating charts are STILL extremely popular. I did my first one back in 2013 and 4 years later, they are likely my most popular item and MOST inquired about "day of" decor element.

This post is for those of you getting married that may be wondering exactly what kinds of mirrors you can have designed. The two most popular ways (and there are alternate ways to display each type) are:

• Alpha Order - Guests organized by last name. I like to add a letter or letters above each "section/group" of names in order to make scanning/finding your name easier.
   
• By Table - Guests seated by table name or number - This is a lovely look and one that clients ask for most often, however I like to remind them that anything over 14-15 tables may make it harder for guests to navigate.

Leaner with table names

Guests Grouped by Table Numbers

By table with a twist

Again, grouped by table but with the numbers to the left of the table blocks. Good idea if you don't have a ton of vertical space to utilize. Photo credit: The client

Alpha Order with letter headers

Typically when I do alpha order mirrors I like to provide letter headers for the groups (i.e. A, B-C, etc.) in order to make the process of scanning for and finding your name easier. Photo credit: My iPhone

Leaner in Alpha Order

When dealing with leaner mirrors, if you can help it, try to make sure that the guests are not having to look down to the floor for their names. Sometimes you can't avoid it, but if so, add a design element at the bottom in lieu of names. It looks nicer and the guests have a better experience.
